Visiting Angels Join Chamber Chairmans Club

The Douglas County Chamber is pleased to announce the newest member of the 2013 Chairman's Club; Jim McMichen with Visiting Angels.

The mission of the Chairmans Club is to convene community-minded, senior level business people to be visionaries for the Chamber and a voice for business in our community. Visiting Angels celebrated their new level of membership on Aug. 8 with a chamber ribbon cutting.

Jim McMichen is the Director of Operations for Visiting Angels. Jim has been involved in many community programs for over 15 years and is serving or has served on several key committees at the county and state level. With more than 20 years of executive management experience, 10 years of professional training and coaching experience and 15 years of sales leadership experience; Jim has helped organizations acquire new companies, grow revenues and streamline operations. He is also the Founder & President of Nspire 2 Mpower, a non-profit corporation focusing on providing individuals & businesses with the tools & training to achieve the very best performance year after year.

Jim is responsible for ensuring efficient operations for the Douglas, Paulding, Cobb & Carroll locations as well as performing Business Development roles.  Since joining the DC Chamber in late October, Jim has quickly become active in many facets including the Chamber’s Young Professionals Connection, Diplomat program, 2013 Chamber Golf & Tennis Classic Committee and currently facilitates the Chamber Connections leads generations group meeting on Friday mornings.

Visiting Angels national, private duty network of home care agencies is the nation's leader for providing non-medical senior care. Their “Angels” provide respite care, senior personal care, elder care, and companion care so that elderly adults can continue to live independently in their own homes in nine locations in Metro Atlanta.  Their services include meal preparation, hygiene assistance, light housekeeping, errands, shopping, walks, medication reminders and more. The Chairmans Club represents businesses and individuals who have chosen to go the extra mile in their support for the Chamber and its mission; they do so because they believe that the voice of business must be heard. They are leaders who invest time and money toward the job creation, quality of life, workforce development and marketing goals of the community. These top decision-makers develop valuable relationships among key business and political leaders and lend expertise on issues critical to their corporate goals and to the community's growth and development.
