Second-generation family owned business, Peening Technologies of Georgia, celebrated the relocation of their facility to 3117 Emery Circle in Austell on Oct. 19 with a Douglas County Chamber ribbon cutting. Division Manager Richard Brooks, his wife Patty and staff were present for the special occasion.
Peening Technologies of Georgia specializes in shot peening components made for airframe, helicopter and turbine engine parts. Peening is the process of working a metal's surface to improve its material properties, usually by mechanical means such as hammer blows or by blasting with shot (shot peening). They also provide peening for commercial parts ranging from deep hole drilling equipment to automotive components.
Peening Technologies of Georgia has been servicing the Southeast since 2003 and was previously located on Bankhead Highway in three separate buildings, totaling approximately 13,000 square feet while their new location is a whopping 30,000 square feet; more than double the size! While a majority of their business is in the aerospace industry, they also service medical, automotive, power generation, oil and gas exploration industries. A family owned business, Peening Technologies prides itself on providing services that meet or exceed their customers' expectations in quality, competitive cost, and timely delivery.
Douglas County Chamber President & CEO, Kali Boatright, congratulated Richard and his staff on their new location, “It is evident the hard work that has gone into relocating your business and on behalf of the Chamber, we thank you for continuing to locate in Douglas County and supporting our local economy.”
