Specialty home décor and gifts retailer Kirkland’s will celebrate the grand opening of its new store at Douglasville Pavilion Shopping Center in Douglasville on Oct. 13 and 14.
For those that can't wait that long, the store's doors opened to the general public today. The retailer closed its Arbor Place Mall store in August to expand to the new location.
Local interior designer Shellene Frett will showcase Kirkland’s items and provide design tips for customers from 1 to 4 p.m. both days. Customers are encouraged to bring photos of rooms or floor plans of spaces they are decorating for a free, personalized design consultation. Kirkland’s will also be giving away two $50 gift cards in celebration of the grand opening, and shoppers will receive a free sachet with purchase while supplies last. Customers need only show up to the store and register to be entered in the drawing. The gift card winner will be randomly selected on Sunday, Oct. 14, at 4 p.m. The winner does not need to be present to win, and no purchase is necessary.
“Kirkland’s is thrilled to be part of the Douglasville community. Our store has something for everyone, from wall art and mirrors to furniture and gifts,” said Michelle Graul, senior vice president of stores/human resources for Kirkland’s. “We can’t wait for the community to see the selection of products and affordable prices at Kirkland’s.”
The new Douglasville location will employ 15 to 18 people and is one of 303 stores throughout the nation. The stores offer an extensive selection of decorative items, gifts and seasonal merchandise.
The grand-opening celebration will last from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 13, and 12 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 14. The free design consultations will occur from 1 to 4 p.m. both days. All are welcome to attend.
The Kirkland’s Douglasville Pavilion store is located at 2864 Chapel Hill Road.
