Island Bar & Grille Celebrates Grand Opening Downtown

Owners Glenville and Sheryl Calloo opened Island Bar & Grill in 2012 and celebrated their grand opening with a Chamber ribbon cutting on June 14.  Island Bar & Grille is located at 6650 Broad Street in Downtown Douglasville.

Island Bar and Grille invites their customers to come “feel the vibe.” Island Bar and Grille is a family run, full service restaurant founded by Glenville and Sheryl Calloo. Their mission is to serve customers with the best quality Caribbean cuisine by using the best ingredients, products, unmatched hospitality, atmosphere and culinary excellence. Customers enjoy a casual Caribbean atmosphere specializing in a modern approach to Classic Island cooking.  Drawing from the diverse roots of Jamaican cuisine, the kitchen offers delicacies such as Jerk Chicken, Escovitch fish, Oxtail and Goat Curry seasoned with scotch bonnet peppers and other spices. They strive to be an accurate representation of Caribbean food and culture. It’s the good food and good vibes that keep customers coming back!
