Hooters Closing, Throwing Final Party

Hooters of Douglasville will be closing on Oct. 24 and offering a farewell party for customers and a reunion for Hooters of Douglasville alumni.

After 15 years of serving Douglasville, the Hooters restaurant on Concourse Parkway is permanently closing on Oct. 24. But don't be sad, the restaurant is throwing a farewell party for its own wake.

Hooters is inviting customers and a having reunion for Hooters of Douglasville alumni on Oct. 24 at 6 p.m. The area near the restaurant will be closed off and servers at the restaurant said there will be a band.

Alexis Aleshire, director of Public Relations and Social Media said in an email that the lease on the property has expired and the location will officially be closed on Oct. 25.

The store will be raising money for charity during the farewell party, raffling off Hooters memorabilia to support the Kelly Jo Dowd Breast Cancer Research Grant. For more information about the event, contact the Hooters of Douglasville at 770-947-8009.

β€œWe are grateful to the Hooters of Douglasville employees and the community for 15 years of food and fun,” stated Melanie Gaddes in an email, Hooters Regional Manager.

The restaurant is currently offering 50 percent off of Douglasville merchandise such as T shirts.

The staff has been offered the opportunity to work at any of the neighboring Hooters locations. The closing has no affect on the other 12 Atlanta area Hooters locations.
