The Farmer's Table fills the spot at 3670 Highway 5 once occupied by a BP gas station. In addition to offering a wide variety of fresh fruit and vegetables, the family-owned and -operated business offers jellies, jams, barbecue sauces, cider, bread, handbags, jewelery, housewares, pottery and special gift baskets for any occasion.

"We get 98 percent of what we offer right here in Georgia," Henderson said. "We source as much of our stuff here in the Douglas County area as possible. During the offseason we go to the Forest Park Farmers Market in Atlanta."

Right now the store occupies only what was the convenience store part of the gas station, but with business exceeding her expectations, she hopes to eventually expand to the old carwash building on the premises and tie the two buildings together.
