Mother-daughter team, Alma Benson and Kelly Anderson, were announced as the new owners of The Fancy Bee, located at 6880 C Douglas Blvd. Benson and Anderson celebrated their recent take-over with a Chamber ribbon cutting on Oct. 17.
Open since 2008, The Fancy Bee is a monogramming and gift shop that specializes in on-site monogramming. The Fancy Bee has also been named an official “Adoption Center” for Elf on the Shelf elves and books allowing families to visit their store, fill out an adoption application, and bring home their very own elf. A limited number of stores across the United States have the ability to serve as an “Adoption Center” which makes The Fancy Bee a rarity in the Metro Atlanta area!
Douglas County Chamber President & CEO, Kali Boatright, congratulated Alma and Kelly on their new adventure, “What a wonderful endeavor for a mother-daughter team to take on! On behalf of the DC Chamber, I would like to welcome you to our Chamber; we are thrilled to have The Fancy Bee as members and I can guarantee that our members will be visiting your excellent location filled with fun and unique gifts very soon!”
