Douglasville Pet Store Holds Ribbon Cutting

Terry, Cathy and Brandon Brlecic opened Pet Things and Wild Bird Supplies in November and after joining the Douglas County Chamber of Commerce, celebrated the opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony on June 27.

Located at 6880 Douglas Boulevard near the west entrance of Arbor Place mall, Pet Things carries holistic and premium dog and cat foods. For the Wild Bird feeders, Pet Things carries Coles and Burkmann Wild Bird Feeds.

Pet Things and Wild Bird Supplies supports local animal rescues by hosting adoption events on Saturdays and Sundays. Pet Things has also donated dog and cat food to the Douglas County Animal Shelter as well as sponsored several dogs in the store, paying their veterinary bills and arranging transport to their “forever” homes.

Owner Terry Brlecic said that they "moved to the area to take care of aging parents and decided that Douglas County needed a pet store when PetCo previously located on Highway 5 closed down.”

The ribbon cutting event was attended by Chamber representatives including several diplomats and members as well as county officials and plenty of dogs to love on.
