Beyond The Front Porch, Inc. Holds Ribbon Cutting

The organization completes its mission by taking children and families on daytrips to various places of educational value on the second Saturday of each month.

A ribbon cutting celebration was held by the Chamber of Commerce for Beyond the Front Porch, Inc., a 501c3 organization with the dual mission to bring the experience of educational field trips to school aged children and to expose economically disadvantaged youth to non-traditional activities beyond their current surroundings.

Executive Director, Kascia Lipford said, “This Ribbon Cutting is not just about our organization, but it is to acknowledge the support of those who believe in what we do. We really strive to be an organization that the community will trust and we want to partner with local businesses as sponsors to make that happen.

The organization completes its mission by taking children and families on daytrips to various places of educational value on the second Saturday of each month. Trips include the activity, transportation and lunch. Beyond the Front Porch encourages parent participation. They also encourage parents who have children that participate in the school free-reduced lunch program to go through the Sponsored Seats Program that is available for families with limited resources.
