Hungry Howie's Goes Pink

The local Douglasville pizza chain supports National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The local . have joined the fight against breast cancer with their Love, Hope & Pizza campaign. For every pizza purchased, Hungry Howie’s will make a donation to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc.

“We are excited to announce that Hungry Howie’s Pizza will join the fight against breast cancer this October with the Love, Hope & Pizza campaign," said Sabrina Starr, owner of the Hungry Howie's located on Chapel Hill Rd. "For every pizza purchased, Hungry Howie’s will make a donation to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Throughout the month, all pizzas will be served in bright pink boxes emblazoned with breast cancer awareness ribbons instead of the classic Hungry Howie’s yellow boxes. We are happy to recognize National Breast Cancer Awareness Month with Love, Hope & Pizza.”

Hungry Howie’s, as a corporation, has raised almost $500,000 for the foundation over the last three years. For their fourth year in the campaign, Hungry Howie’s hopes to raise $250,000. This year Hungry Howie’s Pizza—the originator of the Flavored Crust Pizza—has added a new tag line: “Hope comes in many flavors.”

Customers can add a $1 donation to their Hungry Howie’s order, which will go directly to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Donators will receive a pink Love, Hope & Pizza wristband bracelet as a token of appreciation.

Hungry Howie’s is continuing the social media campaign that accompanies Love, Hope & Pizza. Throughout October, Hungry Howie’s will make a donation to the foundation for every new Facebook fan, for every breast cancer story fans share on the Hungry Howie’s Facebook page, and for every tweet using the hashtag #lovehopepizza. Hungry Howie’s Facebook fans can also make a donation to the National Breast Cancer Foundation through the Facebook page, and the brand will be giving out free pizzas on social media on three days throughout October.
