GreyStone offers free seminar on saving energy

GreyStone Power Corporation customers who are looking to save money on their electric bill will soon have an opportunity to learn how to do just that. The cooperative will host Energy Efficiency 101 (EE101), a seminar that teaches simple steps for saving energy at home, on Tuesday, April 8 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The seminar will be held at GreyStone’s main office in Douglasville, located at 4040 Bankhead Highway.

EE101 is a free seminar open to all GreyStone customers, known as members. The seminar is led by GreyStone’s Residential Energy Services department and guides members on how to perform their own home energy audits, giving them the tools they need to take energy saving steps before summer bills start.

Past program participants have praised the event’s benefits. Member Tantalous Smith said, “The seminar was very informative, professionally run and totally member-oriented. The take-home material was priceless. In essence, the seminar was worth the invested time.”
