Paris Luna Rocks Plaza

Take a look at what you missed if you didn't make it out to the free fun.

As part of the Cultural Arts Council of Douglasville/Douglas County Fall concerts on O'Neal Plaza, rocker and roller Paris Luna rocked the stage last Saturday.

Paris Luna has shared the stage with top name acts like Zac Brown, Rusted Root, Chris Gibbs from Modern English and Devon Allman. The band members are Michael Harris (guitarist), Kane Russell (drummer), Toby Marriott (The Strays) and Heather Russell (vocalist, pianist, acoustic guitarist and songwriter), known as Paris Luna. She was awarded “Best Rock Fema...le Vocalist” by the Georgia Music Awards this spring.

The band has found an exceptional formula to creatively fuse country and rock, producing a unique sound all of their own. Paris Luna's first album, “City Lights,” was released early 2007. The album reached rapid success and has, to date, been signed to Discovery Channel for use in 187 countries and on five networks. It has also aired on more than 30 television shows featured on networks including E!, Lifetime, MTV, VH1 and Showtime. The band has been ‘Road Warriors’ for many years playing more than 285 shows a year in venues including The Bitter End in New York, Ciceros in St. Louis, The Centerstage in Atlanta, South By Southwest Music Festival 2007 and there again in 2011.
