Mad Hatter's Tea Party at CAC on Saturday

The Mad Hatter's Tea Party will be held Saturday, March 16 at the Cultural Arts Center in Douglasville's historic district.

The Cultural Arts Council of Douglasville/Douglas County is pleased to announce its annual spring celebration for children and their families, The Mad Hatter's Tea Party, Saturday, March 16 at the Cultural Arts Center in Douglasville’s historic district. Presented in partnership with the Douglas County Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association,The Mad Hatter's Tea Party offers educational fun in a children’s festival from 10:30 a.m. until Noon.

The event is created for children from three to ten years old. Tickets are $25 for the first child and accompanying adult; $15 for each additional child, $10 for each additional adult.

This marvelous, not-to-be-missed introduction to one of the great classics of children’s literature, Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland, includes a round of flamingo croquet, sing-a-long music and storytelling sessions, an egg hunt, more games and gift bags, a children’s tea party lunch and a luncheon for their mothers and grandmothers. Ladies are encouraged to wear their best spring bonnets, and prizes will be awarded for the most creative and original hats worn. Children should bring baskets to collect their eggs. The Cheshire Cat will wear a grin, the Mad Hatter will serve tea, and the White Rabbit will be late. High school student volunteers will guide small groups of children and adults through each session’s activities.
