Local Gal Rocks in Upcoming Show Chorus Performance (Video)

The Song of Atlanta Chorus will be singing and dancing at Norcross High School on March 2, featuring Douglasville's own Michelle Shoemaker.

The Song of Atlanta Chorus will be singing and dancing at Norcross High School on March 2, featuring Douglasville's own Michelle Shoemaker. She is one of more than 100 women of all ages and backgrounds who gather together in celebration of the art form known as barbershop music.

Michelle has lived in Douglasville since 2005 and belonged to the Song of Atlanta since 2003. She has belonged to Sweet Adelines International since 1990 and introduces herself in the attached video. Under the direction of the musical direction of Becki Hine, The Song of Atlanta Chorus is a chapter of Sweet Adelines International.

Michelle's Song of Atlanta's quartet earned the title of international champs in 2012.

She will join the rest of the Song of Atlanta Chorus on March 2, during the group's annual show and silent auction at Norcross High School, at 5300 Spalding Drive in Norcross. Joining the chorus will also be FRED, an international champion Barbershop Quartet group, as well as renowned talk show host Spiff Carner.

Early bird adult tickets, before Feb. 15, are sold for $20 and after Feb. 15 for $25. Chidlren under 12 years old are free.
