  1. A Partners in Education Kick-Off Breakfast will be held today at 8 a.m. at the , 4040 Bankhead Highway. Park on the upper deck. The theme this year is Treasuring Partners: Mapping Student Succes. Come prepared to work with your business partners to map out your plan to help students succeed this year. Arrive by 7:30 a.m. to greet your partners as they sign in.
  2. Chili Cookers Wanted. Got a great chili recipe? Family and friends rave over your tasty, spicy, meaty, specialty? Here's your chance to prove you've got the best around.   5. A book collection for the Dog River Library will be held today and every day until Aug. 31 at and . Drop off two new or gently used books at Joe's Crab Shack, Chapel Hill Rd., during August and get a free appetizer.
