The fourth annual “Douglasville, So You Think You Can Dance” competition is this Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. on O'Neal Plaza. These celebrity judges have been anncounced:
Anthony Hart is originally from a small town in North Carolina but now resides in Atlanta. He has appeared on several seasons of Fox’s "So You Think You Can Dance", as well as held performance roles in "Stomp the Yard 2." He is a current member of Jungle Boogie Crew from Season 5 of America's Best Dance Crew. Recently he has been featured on Disney’s hit movie “Let it Shine” playing the role of Fly Phil.
"Kennith Tipton, a proud native of North Carolina, has five years of dancing under his belt," according to his website. "His training in Hip Hop, Modern, Ballet, Stepping, Jazz, African, Lyrical, and many other styles of dance have made him both a very open minded and versitile dancer. Kennith has worked with many notable choreographers including AJ, Chuck Maldanodo, Jasmine Guy, Fatima Robinson, Tabitha and Napoleon, and many more."
Kristen Tate is a dance instructor at Douglasville School of Dance, where she has taught ballet, tap and jazz, for the past five years. Before joining the staff, she was a student for fourteen years, beginning at the age of four. Kristen was a member of the Douglasville School of Dance Kickline for four years, and had the privilege of performing at the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Christmas Parade, Egleston Children’s Hospital Festival of Trees and many other venues throughout the city. Kristen is a 2011 graduate of West Georgia Technical College, where she studied Business Administration. She is married, and resides in Douglasville.
