WSA Building Is Temporarily Closed

These are the five things you need to know today, June 20.

  1. Building Temporarily Closed. The offices have been relocated, but there are no water or sewer service interruptions. Because of structural problems, the Water and Sewer Authority's office building at 8763 Hospital Drive has been closed for repairs. The water treatment/distribution and sewage collection/treatment services of the WSA are not affected.
    The WSA is asking customers to mail their payments, pay online, or drop them off at Bank of North Georgia locations on or instead of paying in person. The billing office has temporarily been relocated to 7725 W. Strickland St., but parking is very limited.

  2. Wynn Workshops at the will be held Mondays through Fridays, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. There are hands-on arts workshops for tweens and teens exploring a single artistic discipline with one teaching artist. The cost is $65 per week ($50 for CAC family level members, sibling discounts and scholarships available). This week is "Pastel Drawing & Painting" with Tamara Morgan.   3. There will be a ribbon-cutting for the New Junior High Drive Sidewalk Project today at noon at the intersection of Junior High Drive and South Sweetwater Road, Lithia Springs. This is a program of the through its Department of Transportation, 770-920-4924.
  4. Β "Chat with the Chairman" with Douglas County Commission Chairman Tom Worthan will be held today from 6 to 7 p.m. at , Riverside Parkway just west of Tributary. Admission is free. Have a one-on-one conversation with Worthan on any topic.
  5. Join Patch for our ribbon cutting Tuesday after the Power Luncheon at . The luncheon is from noon to 1 p.m.
