When Is Severe Weather Expected in Douglas County?

Storms may come into West Georgia about 7-8 p.m., with heavier squall lines 11 p.m.-2 a.m.

The second round of severe weather is expected to hit West Georgia and Douglas County late Tuesday night and into the early morning hours on Wednesday.

Douglas County Communications sent this weather alert Tuesday afternoon:

Another night of severe weather is anticipated tonight through Wednesday morning in Douglas County.

This will be another slow-moving system that is expected to dump a lot of rain, causing localized flooding. Douglas County remains under a Flash Flood Watch. The ground is saturated with more rain coming.

  • Heavier squall lines may develop late night - early morning (11 p.m. - 2 a.m.)
  • The line of storms will move very slowly to the SE on Wednesday
