Videos Explain Metro Atlanta Traffic

Metro Atlanta Voter Education Network (MAVEN) introduces Mr. Stan Still in a four-part web series on metro Atlanta traffic.

With 40 days remaining until the Regional Transportation Referendum vote, MAVEN is continuing to educate voters across the region. The organization has partnered with COLLYDE and Green Tricycle Studios to produce a four-part series on Mr. “Stan Still”, a fictional Atlanta commuter helping metro Atlantans cope with our legendary traffic.

"Our hope is that our Gen X / Y peers will catch wind of this comedic series and help push the satire virally- not just for laughs in their inboxes, but more than anything, to spur the younger generation to be a part of critical decisions shaping our city's future”, said Tara Makarechi, a partner at COLLYDE and in-town Atlanta resident.

In the first video, Stan Still introduces commuters to chapter two of his guidebook, a fool-proof system for how to cut people off in traffic, “Be Brave with the Pre-Wave”. Videos two through four will be introduced on a weekly basis and continue the theme that traffic in metro Atlanta is at a standstill.

“It was a pleasure to work with Tara and Green Tricycle Studios. Over the past few months, MAVEN has been working hard to make the referendum as plain-speak as possible for the average person”, said Bob Voyles, chairman of MAVEN. “This video series is a great way to get the message out about the July 31 Regional Transportation Referendum and this possible solution to addressing our region’s traffic congestion.”
The videos will be featured on the YouTube account for MAVEN, TransformMetroATL.

This video perfectly sums up the hassles that driving in Atlanta traffic provides. With all the congestion in the city it is about time that more mobility options are presented. I will be voting yes for the passage of the Regional Transportation Referendum and will be encouraging my friends to do so as well.

To Mr Bill Adams.....there is no such thing as a MODERN Christian. You are either a Christain or youRead More are not. While we as Christians love the sinner we are not to love the sin nor are we to back those sinners who are committing a sinful act. We should, however, with love in our hearts try to win their souls for God and preach what the Bible teaches. Which by the way, the Bible tells us it is wrong and a sin for a man to lie with a man.

I wonder how many gay teens were in that audience, who felt horror at that standing ovation? HowRead More many stood next to the parents who didn't know it wasn't a choice, who were standing and applauding next to a child who was already so emotionally torn up inside with the thought of telling these parents they were gay?? How many of these teens will commit suicide rather than tell these parents? Good move church, who is supposed to be preaching forgiveness, understanding and give support to the needy. Who decides what emotion is needy? Feeling gay, or thinking about getting a divorce, or losing your job and needing help? I am not gay, but I wholly believe in living, and let live, and helping where you can with no judgment! This church should be ashamed of itself! This is exactly why I don't go to church, and worship in my own way. They are all a bunch of hypocrites and should be ashamed of themselves.

Well said! I agree wholeheartedly. For those that want to look up the scripture, it's in LeviticusRead More 18:22 and 20:13. God spells it out perfectly what you are and are not supposed to do. If God is against it, man should be against it too.
