Storm Damage Light in Douglas County

Damage from the storm that passed through Douglas County Thursday, was relatively light.

Damage from the storm that passed through Douglas County Thursday, was relatively light, according to Wes Tallon, County director of communications.

"We did have a lot of tree limbs and power lines down all over the County," he said in an email, "911 got reports of three trees on residences. No injuries reported, thank goodness."

A GreyStone Power Cooperation Tweet last night indicated that there were 126 GreyStone customers without power in Douglas County.

Georgia Power had 162,000 homes without power throughout the State after the storms and 50,000 homes still remain without power but only one of those homes is in Douglas County, according to a media representative.
