Slight Chance for Ice Friday Morning

The low temperature overnight in Douglas County is expected to be about 28 degrees but the high temperature on Friday is predicted to be 40 degrees, warm enough to melt any small amounts of ice.

There is a "very small window Friday morning, 7 a.m. to noon, to receive any icing" in Douglas County according to the National Weather Service. Their latest models are showing the icy weather to trend more to north Georgia with only a slight chance of any in Douglas County. Any ice will likely will be very minimal, will be atop mailboxes and similar structures, and will not affect traffic, according to an email from Douglas County.
