Any ice will likely will be very minimal, will be atop mailboxes and similar structures, and will not affect traffic, according to an email from Douglas County. The low temperature overnight in Douglas County is expected to be about 28 degrees but the high temperature on Friday is predicted to be 40 degrees, warm enough to melt any small amounts of ice.
The National Weather Service does not expect this to be a significant weather event in Douglas County. Ice is anticipated in north and northeast Georgia.
