- Noted author and floral designer John Grady Burns will appear on Saturday, June 4, as part of the Fourth annual Penny McHenry Hydrangea Festival at the. Burns will be signing copies of his books from 12:30 to 3 p.m. on the second floor of the Courthouse adjacent to the Standard Flower Show. The Hydrangea Festival will be held June 4 and 5, inside and on the grounds of the Douglas County Courthouse. The Festival will feature an Artists’ and Craftmen’s Market, Standard Flower Show, private garden tours, demonstration gardens, and the annual Moonlight and Magnolias progressive dinner garden tour.
