Our Favorite Local Spas

It's time for some me time.

  1. The Green Tree Spa is a place to indulge in a half-day, pamper-fest spa package that includes a “Le Grand Classique” Facial, 60 minute massage, “Signature Body Wrap," “Ultimate Hand and Foot” treatment and a yummy spa lunch or simply treat yourself to an eyebrow wax, The Green Tree has you covered.  Tucked away in an unassuming strip mall, The Green Tree delights as soon as you step inside.  The soothing music, aromatherapy and earth tone décor set the stage for restoring and replenishing the mind, body and spirit.  The waiting areas are plush and relaxing, the rooms are cozy and instantly calming.  The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and ready to insure that you have a pleasurable and stress-free experience.
  2. is more than just a full service hair care center. It also offers a very large selection of hair products with it's main lines being Aveda, Alanza and Bosley. Other brands are available, however, if you don't find you're favorite product, it can be special ordered. Professional make-up application is offered with an equally substantial Mira Bella line of make-up. Other services include full body massages and a line of handmade jewelry at very reasonable prices.
  3. is located in the Shoppes at Chapel Hill. The spa offers a wide variety of spa amenities (including hair, nail, massage, waxing, and more) meant to relax and soothe the body from daily stresses. 4. include cuts, extensions, spikes, sew-ins, 27-piece quick weaves and ceramic press. Some of the nail services are full sets, mink nails, screw and photo nails, glass sets and pedicures. If more pampering is desired, try a full body massage, eyebrow arching, lashes, waxing or professional make-up application. It also offers a line of reshaping under garments that promise an instant hourglass shape.
  5. is located in The Landing, near Arbor Place Mall. In addition to haircuts and styling, the popular salon and spa offers facials and massages. You can also purchase gift certificates for any of the services. Closing hours are based on when the last appointment is scheduled.

To Mr Bill Adams.....there is no such thing as a MODERN Christian. You are either a Christain or youRead More are not. While we as Christians love the sinner we are not to love the sin nor are we to back those sinners who are committing a sinful act. We should, however, with love in our hearts try to win their souls for God and preach what the Bible teaches. Which by the way, the Bible tells us it is wrong and a sin for a man to lie with a man.

I wonder how many gay teens were in that audience, who felt horror at that standing ovation? HowRead More many stood next to the parents who didn't know it wasn't a choice, who were standing and applauding next to a child who was already so emotionally torn up inside with the thought of telling these parents they were gay?? How many of these teens will commit suicide rather than tell these parents? Good move church, who is supposed to be preaching forgiveness, understanding and give support to the needy. Who decides what emotion is needy? Feeling gay, or thinking about getting a divorce, or losing your job and needing help? I am not gay, but I wholly believe in living, and let live, and helping where you can with no judgment! This church should be ashamed of itself! This is exactly why I don't go to church, and worship in my own way. They are all a bunch of hypocrites and should be ashamed of themselves.

Well said! I agree wholeheartedly. For those that want to look up the scripture, it's in LeviticusRead More 18:22 and 20:13. God spells it out perfectly what you are and are not supposed to do. If God is against it, man should be against it too.
