“ROUNDUP’ - Black Cowboys of Douglas County Exhibit
Where/When: , downtown Douglasville, Saturday, Feb. 19 (1 to 4 p.m.), open through February on Tuesdays and Thursdays (1 to 5 p.m.)
Why Go: A fantastic history lesson for kids including memorabilia, photographs

Why Go: This fun hour of stories and crafts geared towards the younger set encourages a love for books and reading. A different theme each week!

• NEW MANCHESTER HISTORY HIKE
Where/When: Sweetwater Creek State Park, Saturday, Feb. 19, 1 to 3 p.m.
Why Go: Fun, kid-friendly activities in the great outdoors foster a love of nature! This mile-long hike (easy to moderate) to the five-story ruins of the Civil War-era New Manchester Textile Mill will include going inside the ruins. Great photo opps! (Be sure to visit the Interpretive Center afterwards to learn about the animals and plants of the area, plus the history of the New Manchester Textile Mill.)
