LSHS Grad Decorated with Army Commendation Medal

Army Sgt. 1st Class Christopher M. Sears has been decorated with the Army Commendation Medal.

The medal is awarded to individuals who, while serving in any capacity with the Army, have distinguished themselves by acts of heroism, meritorious achievement or meritorious service.

Sears is a clarinetist assigned to The United States Army Field Band at Fort George G. Meade, Md. The sergeant first class has served in the military for 11 years.

He graduated in 1994 from Lithia Springs High School, and received a bachelor of science in 1999 from the University of Georgia, Athens.
