Local Pokémon Champ Does it Again

Keegan Abley Wins Travel Award to the 2013 Pokémon U.S. National Championships after winning the 2013 Pokémon Spring Regional Championships.

After a weekend of head-to-head Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) battles, Keegan Abley earned the esteemed title of Pokémon Spring Regional Champion at the 2013 Pokémon Spring Regional Championships. Held in Athens, on April 13 and 14, Keegan is among only five Junior Division Spring Regional TCG Champions from throughout North America to earn a travel award to compete at the 2013 Pokémon U.S. National Championships this summer. There, Keegan will compete for an invitation to the 2013 Pokémon World Championships held next August in Vancouver, B.C. where they will battle for the ultimate title of Pokémon World Champion.

Smith, director of Consumer Marketing for The Pokémon Company International. “The Spring Regionals brought some awesome competition and we’re excited for even more competitive fun at the upcoming Pokémon U.S. National Championships in Indianapolis, Indiana.”
