Local Church to Host Nationally-Known Author at Conference

The transformative power of a relationship with Jesus Christ will be the theme of the Good and Beautiful God conference coming this August to First Presbyterian Church in Douglasville. The two-day conference will feature author and speaker James Bryan Smith, author of the three-volume Apprentice series of books.

“Transformation happens every day, but when mixed with intentionality from caring people who wish to change the world, the results are unbelievable to see what happens,” Smith said. “I am excited to be in Georgia and see how the Holy Spirit is moving and working here.”

"James Bryan Smith brings remarkably simple and fresh insights to the life of following Jesus,” according to Dr. James Harper, Senior Pastor at First Presbyterian. “Having taught his books, I have seen how his approach produces real, tangible fruit. If you want to live as an apprentice of Jesus, this conference will help us make take those first steps."
