Linemen Brett Corley, Eric Taylor, Clint Robinson and Steve Jenkins participated in the competition as judges.
Manager of Operations Steve Findley said, “Our linemen did a great job. They completed the events in a safe and timely manner with no mistakes, all while using fall-arrest. They should be proud of their accomplishments.”
In an effort to add an extra degree of safety for linemen, GreyStone implemented the use of fall arrest equipment earlier this year. The devices protect linemen by safely stopping a person who is already falling. This helps ensure that a lineman using the device will stay tethered to the wooden pole being climbed at all times.
Next up for GreyStone’s linemen is the International Lineman’s Rodeo, which will be held in Bonner Springs, KS on Saturday, Oct. 13.
