Celebrate Veterans All Weekend

It's Friday, and you've got no idea what you'll do for the weekend. Well, here's some ideas.

  1. A Women's Conference will be held Friday and Saturday, Nov. 11 and 12, starts 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. a the . There will be fun and fellowship, exciting teachings, goody bags, door prizes, great food. Admission is free, lunch is available for purchase on Saturday. Please RSVP.   2. Annual Veterans Day Lighted Parade will be held Friday, Nov. 11, starting at 7 p.m. Step-off from . The parade goes north on Campbellton Street, west on Church Street, south on Bowden Street, and back to the high school via Woodrow and Campbellton. Come line the streets and thank our veterans, active military and reserves for fighting and securing our freedom!

  • Veterans Day Car Show to benefit U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots will be held Saturday, Nov. 12, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Walmart at 1100 Thornton Rd. in Lithia Springs. Admission is a toy for Toys for Tots. Car entry into the show is $15 per car.

  • Timelines and Tales of Veterans Timelines and Tales of Veterans will be held Saturday, Nov. 12 starting at 10 a.m. at the new in the community room. This will be a time for veterans and the public to come together and hear experiences of our veterans, remember POW/MIA, view military artifacts, hear about veterans in Douglas County cemeteries, and National Archives education specialist Joel Walker will discuss how to research your family's military history.

  • The 26th Annual Christmas in Lithia Arts and Crafts Show will be held Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 12 and 13, starting at 10 a.m. Saturday and noon on Sunday and ending at 5 p.m. both days.
