GDOL, West GA Tech Team Up for Job Expo on March 20

The Georgia Department of Labor's (GDOL) Carrollton Career Center will assist West Georgia Technical College's Douglas Campus with a job expo for job seekers next week.

The Georgia Department of Labor’s (GDOL) Carrollton Career Center will assist West Georgia Technical College’s Douglas Campus with a job expo for college students and other job seekers next week.

The expo will be held Wednesday, March 20, from 1 to 4 p.m. on the campus at 4600 Timber Ridge Drive in Douglasville.

The event will feature a number of employers and educational institutions. Some employers will be hiring, while others will discuss possible future employment opportunities with the job seekers. Some organizations will provide educational and other resources. Applicants should bring plenty of resumes and be prepared to fill out company applications and interview for available job openings. Attendees are encouraged to dress appropriately to improve their opportunities for employment.

Veterans’ representatives from the career center will be available to provide employment-related and other services to veterans, while other GDOL staff member will aid non-veterans.

Some of the employers and service providers expected to participate in the expo include: A-Supreme Healthcare Service, Assured and Associates, Elwood Staffing, Fastenal Company, Goodwill Southern Rivers Carrollton Career Center, InterMed Homecare, and Flying J Pilot Corporation.
