Friday Night Flicks Presents 'Despicable Me 2' at O'Neal Plaza

It's the first of two Friday Night Flicks movies presented by the Douglasville Convention and Visitors Bureau this summer.

The square at O’Neal Plaza will transform into an outdoor cinema on Friday, June 6 to host the first of two Friday Night Flicks movie screening presented by the Douglasville Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) this summer.

The first film shown on the plaza will feature the sequel to a popular animated-comedy about a despicable guru, his faithful minions, and three adopted daughters.

The event begins at 8 p.m. with the movie premiering at dark. Moviegoers can also enjoy preshow popcorn and entertainment. Friday Night Flicks is open to the public to enjoy and attendees are encouraged to bring their own seating for comfort.

“Downtown restaurants such as Fabiano’s, Gumbeaux’s, Hudson’s Hickory House, the Irish Bred Pub, and Island Bar & Grill are all convenient options for dinner before the move starts, or guests can grab a meal to go and enjoy it during the film,” said Douglasville CVB Sales Manager and Interim Director Kimberly Bridges.
