Former Cougar Leads Georgia State in Hitting

Brett Maxwell, the former Alexander High School standout, is leading the team's leading hitter through eight games with a .444 batting average.

Key to Awesomeness: Brett sports a .528 on-base percentage and so far this season, has four doubles, five RBIs and three stolen bases. He's helped Georgia State to a 7-1 record so far this year. Playing his second season with the Panthers, after transferring from Chipola Junior College he started 36 games as a junior and batted .324 with two homers, 24 RBI and 12 stolen bases. He sat out the 2009
season while recovering from an injury.
