Father Delivers Baby at Shell Gas Station with Help of E911

Brynlee Josephine Favia was welcomed into the world on Friday morning, Feb. 1, at 6:05 a.m. and delivered in the parking lot of the Shell gas station on Post Rd. by her father, Brandon.

Brynlee Josephine Favia was welcomed into the world on Friday morning, Feb. 1, at 6:05 a.m. and delivered in the parking lot of the Shell gas station on Post Rd. by her father, Brandon.

Brandon started the delivery with the assistance and direction over the phone with Douglas County E911 Operator Amanda Weathers while E911 Operators Becky Radford and Daisy Millsap dispatched the call.

The delivery was completed by Douglas County Fire/EMS Department Company 2 (Winston Fire Station): Jeff Zachmeyer, Ronnie Kirkland, Jennifer Sutton, Trudy Nelson and Michele Waldrop.

Mother (Christy), Dad (Brandon), Sister (Kalia) and Brynlee are all fine, according to a Douglas County press release.

Dad says her nickname may be β€œShell” since that is where she was born.

"Sometimes the emergencies to which E911 and Fire/EMS respond are good emergencies," Wes Tallon said in the release, director of Douglas County Communications. "Kudos to everyone!"
