Touch-a-Truck Experience at Arbor Place Mall

When: Saturday, April 30; 12 to 4 p.m.

Why go: Celebrate "National County Government Week!"  Bring the kids and let them climb in, on, around and through fire trucks, a fire safety house, a rescue unit, the Mobile Command Center, a mobile jail, HEAT Cars, an armored vehicle, a DOT Dump Truck and front-end loader and more. Guests can also give blood in the Red Cross Bloodmobile. Children will enjoy a visit to the Ducky Derby, winning prizes and learning about Special Olympics/Therapeutic Recreation Programs of Douglas County Parks and Recreation. Please bring school supplies and food donations for to the Bobby Tillman Foundation tent!

Savvy Shopper Craft Bazaar to Benefit Kitchen

When:  Saturday, April 30; 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Why go:  Get great deals on scrapbooking, jewelry, stamping, ceramic paints and supplies.  Proceeds will be matched by Modern Woodmen to purchase new stove and kitchen accessories for the Deer Lick Park kitchen.
