Welcome to The Douglasville Patch's new weekly column written by a Mom, for Moms and about Moms.
“Biology is the least of what makes someone a mother.” ~Oprah Winfrey
Welcome to The Douglasville Patch’s new weekly column written by a Mom, for Moms and about Moms–Mama Matters! I’m a homeschooling mama to nearly five-year old boy/girl twins and I’m excited to cover a wide variety of mama-centric and kid-focused topics for this site every week.
In this column I’ll cover:
Find out what's happening in Douglasvillewith free, real-time updates from Patch.
- Family-friendly places to eat, explore, relax, and have fun in and around Douglasville;
- Tips on how to save money on food, clothes, and services;
- Reviews on products moms need (or want!) for their kids, homes and themselves;
- Recipes that are healthy, easy and geared towards families;
- Important topics that affect our daily Mom life such as school choices (so many options!), juggling work and Mama-hood, filling our cup (o.k. Moms, what do you do for YOU?) and much more.
Additionally, each month I plan to highlight a Douglasville Super Mom. (Do you know a Mom that should to be recognized for all her hard work? Let’s give her the attention she deserves!)
If you have any story ideas please send them along! I’d love to hear about what YOU want to talk about. My hope is to get a conversation going so we can share ideas, information and inspirations with one another. My e-mail is mindepatch@gmail.com, read my blog at www.thefreerangefamily.com.
