College Fair at Arbor Place Mall

These are the five things you need to know today, Sept. 19.

  1. The Annual PROBE College Fair at Arbor Place Mall  will take place today from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Local high school students and their parents are invited to meet with college representatives from across the Nation. This fair is presented by the BRIDGES Program, Ruby Byers, 770-651-2078, BRIDGES@douglas.k12.ga.us.
  2. Lithia Springs High School Family and Community Engagement Program Meetings  will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m. or 6 p.m. on Thursday, at Lithia Springs High School. This is the first stakeholders' meeting to discuss the school's improvement grant. Come find out what's new at LSHS and how it will benefit you, your student and our community. RSVP requested.   3. A Community Blood Drive for the American Red Cross will be held Thursday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Citizen's Hall, Douglas County Courthouse. Call 1-800-RED CROSS to make an appointment or just walk in! Your blood donation helps save up to three lives.
  4. An Anti-Bullying Seminar will be held Thursday from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Ephesus Baptist Church. Admission is free., This event  features the  Douglas County Sheriff's Department Sgt. Jesse Hambrick and is presented by the Character Coalition and the .
  5. The Third Annual Neighborhood Summit will be held Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Loudermilk Center for Regional Community, 40 Courtland Street, Atlanta. The cost is $25 per person, lunch included. This is presented by the Civic League, a non-profit that strives to give residents of the Atlanta region a voice in how their region develops
