Chapel Hill Grad Finishes Basic Training

Air Force Airman 1st Class Aja W. Simpson graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, TX.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Simpson is the daughter of Tracey Simpson of McCall Court, Douglasville.  She is also the daughter of David Simpson of Campbellton Road, Atlanta.

She is a 2009 graduate of Chapel Hill High School.
