Boys & Girls Club Launches Facebook Page

The Douglas County Boys & Girls Club announces the long-awaited launch of its Facebook page.

With the aid of West Georgia Technical College located in Carrollton, the Douglas County Boys & Girls Club announces the long-awaited launch of its Facebook page. The Douglas County Club has been needing a means to get the most up-to-date information out to its members and their families, its supporters, and event attendees for some time.

Steve Hord, Executive Director of the Club said, "We want to make certain that alumni are able to stay in touch and know what is happening in their Club.”  In this age of real time technology and the Club's fast-paced growth and extended services it is essential that it have this communication vehicle.

The Club was fortunate to have WGTC's support to meet this goal. Staci Walker a student at WGTC with a networking and computer support diploma and a certification in pc repair and technology developed the page for the Club with the approval of  Tracie Thompson, Program Chair of Information Technogy at WGTC.

During Walker's work on the project she said, “I love to design web sites and flyers and was happy to be chosen for this project. Walker, a member of SGA at WGTC, is an entrepreneur who owns " the Touch" where she designs websites and flyers.  

The club, located at 8828 Gurley Rd., welcomes all to find out what is going on at on the hilltop and to become a part of this exciting new phase of its growth.
