Bake and Book Sale to be Held Saturday

Douglas County will be holding a bake and book sale on the day before Mother's Day, May 11, at the Dog River Library.

Looking for something unique to give Mom for Mother’s Day? Come to the Mother’s Day Bake and Book Sale on Saturday, May 11, the day before Mother’s Day, and get her a good book and a homemade baked goodie, and support the Dog River Library at the same time!

The Friends of the Dog River Library is hosting a gently used book and fresh homemade baked goods sale this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Library, 6100 Georgia Highway 5, one mile south of the Dog River. All proceeds from the sale go to support the programs of the library, including the upcoming summer reading program, weekly story time for children, and special holiday programs.

Paperback books are priced at 50 cents, and most hardbacks are one dollar, so this sale shouldn’t break a child’s piggybank if he/she want to buy something for Mom.
