'Artist's Choice' Exhibit Featured During July

The July display in the Douglas County Courthouse Gallery is its annual “Artist’s Choice” exhibit where artists who live or work in Douglas County can bring their favorites for hanging. The exhibit consists of 43 pieces of art and includes oils, pastels, acrylics, pencil, watercolor and engraving.  The art will be on display through Wednesday, July 31.

The Courthouse Gallery is located on the third floor of the Douglas County Courthouse at 8700 Hospital Drive and is open to the Public with free admission at any time the Courthouse is open. Exhibits from January - May of each year feature talent of students in the Douglas County School System, and from June - December of Douglas County residents.

The August exhibit theme is “3-D” and will include art, crafts, sculpture, pottery and mixed media in three dimensions. Entries are accepted on Thursday, Aug. 1 for the show opening on Tuesday, Aug. 6. All levels of expertise are welcome and entries are only juried in relation to the theme.
