2 Flag Day Events Today

These are the five things you need to know today, June 14.

  1. A Flag Day Breakfast will be held at The Benton House from 8 to 10 this morning. Admission is free. Pancake breakfast and flag dedication will be held. For more information, call 770-942-9449, or contact www.BentonHouse.com, 4999 Prestley Mill Road.
  2. The City's Official Flag Day Ceremony  will be held tonight at 6:45 on , downtown Douglasville. Admission is free. For more information, contact the Douglasville Welcome Center at 770-947-5920, info@visitdouglasville.com.
  3. Wednesday Wind-Downs on O'Neal Plaza will begin on Wednesday at 
    7 p.m. It will also be held on June 22 and 29, on O'Neal Plaza, downtown Douglasville. Bring your lawn chair and relax to jazz and blues after hours. Admission is free.   4. A Dinner with Former POW Ron Young will be held Friday at 6:30 p.m. at the American Legion Post 145, 6449 Bankhead Highway. The cost is  $50 per person with proceeds going to the veterans programs of the American Legion. Hear Ron tell his story of survival and inspiration. Call
