Ladies In Waiting, Inc. is hosting their Prom Dress Drive to benefit teen girls
who may need assistance during prom season. These girls must be residents of
Douglas County and attend partner High Schools.
We are asking the public
to make donations of Formal Dresses, Prom Dresses, Homecoming Dresses (Semi
Formal or Formal) and Bridesmaids Dresses. Evening Purses and shoes in usable
condition are also accepted.
When donating,please following these
guidelines:
* Dresses should be in wearable condition
* Dresses should be
cleaned and on a hanger
* Dresses should not date back further than
2007
Don't let the economy discourage a young lady from attending her
Prom
Dresses can be dropped off on the following dates and
times:

More About Deer Lick Park
Feed the ducks, go fishing or just have a picnic but there is plenty to do at Deer Lick Park. Spread over 66 acres, the park offers visitors activities like softball, volleyball, disc golf, tennis, basketball, mini-golf, Bocce Ball and practice in the batting cages. The parks features and facilities include a three-acre lake with a pier, an activity center, gymnasium, skate board park, tennis courts, amphitheater, gazebo and group shelters. The shelters can be rented for special events like family reunions and parties, otherwise they are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
