Principal Elaine B. Hopkins opened Holly Springs Elementary School for the 1999-2000 school year with approximately 350 students.  Today there nearly 700 Holly Hawks who attend the school.  In 2005, Holly Springs was named the Best Elementary School in Douglas County by Atlanta magazine.  Holly Springs' students have a wide variety of extra curricular activities to choose from, including Art Club, Band, Beta Club, Girl's Club, Program Challenge, Reading Bowl and Road Runner Club.  The school offers the following athletic camps: Basketball, Golf, Dance, Tennis, Volleyball and Cheerleading.   Stephanie Cosper is the current principal.
