Minister Alan Clayton joined in matrimony Sharonda and Wyman Mathews in a short, but beautiful, ceremony in O'Neal Plaza in historic Downtown Douglasville Saturday. "Wyman and I met in 2005," Sharonda said. "The first time was at a mutual friend's coed baby shower. After the shower, a few of us decided to go to Dugan's-the sports bar. Wyman and I talked but didn't exchange phone numbers. A few months later, we met again at another friend's get-together, still not getting beyond a conversation. The third time was the charm-we talked again and he asked me for my phone number. I gave it to him …

The house was packed with extra tables and chairs as staff wearing cowboy boots and red cowboy hats served BBQ, toast, slaw, and delicious peach cobbler.  Ron Massengill and Buzz Shortland performed classic country music by artists such as Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline, and even Elvis to complete the event. Ron and Buzz only have two rules for the audience when performing: "If you know the song, you have to sing along. And if you want to dance, don't fall off the table." No one danced on the …
Here are some highlights from the recent Heritage Baptist Church Music Camp. There were more than 150 kids, ages 5 through 12. There were also 105 volunteers and about 400 in attendance for the production of “The Rainbow Express."  Editor's Note: Heritage Baptist Church was kind enough to provide these photos of their recent music camp. We would love for other community organizations to do the same. We would also really love names for the photos, even those none were available for these photos.
