Because helping animals is “in my heart,” Pet Things owner Terry Brlecic and his family recently donated 925 pounds of cat and dog food to the Douglas County Animal Shelter. The Brlecic family - Terry, wife Cathy, and son Brandon - own five dogs of their own and have been very active in the placing animals with forever families, including hosting adoption clinics at their store almost every Saturday. Pet Things also takes animal adoption requests and posts them in the store in an effort to match animal and owner. Douglasville's Bagel Meister restaurant was closed at lunch time today and customers were asked to leave.
Update: 1:28 p.m. The Bagel Meister has reopened. Patch has contacted the Georgia Department of Revenue to find out more information but the call has not been returned. Original story: Douglasville's Bagel Meister restaurant was closed at lunch time today and customers asked to leave. A Georgia Department of Revenue sign is on the door saying the restaurant is temporarily closed but does not give a reason. Several of the restaurant's employess are currently sitting outside the restaurant and said they don't know what is going on but were "ushered out." The restaurant's Facebook page does not give any details. No other details are known at this time.

The NCAA’s recent “Bulletin on Field Markings, Uniforms, etc.” expressly prohibits “social media designations such as URL’s and hashtags” (Hashtags are words or phrases that are preceded by the # symbol that can be used online to group messages together or to rally support for a common cause, such as for a favorite team.).
