In celebration of National Adopt a Shelter Dog Month, The Douglas County Animal Shelter is participating in month long adoption specials, beginning Sunday October 7th there will be weekly adoption specials on selected dogs.

The week of October 7th through the 13th is "Old Timer's Roundup." All dogs who have been at the shelter longer than thirty days qualify and are eligible for half priced adoption. That means the cost of adopt and a microchip are only $17.50

Each week there will be new adoption specials identifying different dog groups and breeds that will be available at special adoption rates. There will also be a special "Two for $20" special on all cats and kittens from October 7th to October 26th.
