Zumba Raises $300 for Relay For Life

Douglas County Parks and Recreation thanks the community after more than 100 hunters turned out for the Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt.

Last week Deer Lick Park hosted its first-ever Zumbathon. The event attracted more than 25 participants which helped raise close to $300. All proceeds from this event will go towards Relay For Life. Relay For Life will be held at Deer Lick Park on April 27. Events and activities will start around 6:45 p.m.

Zumba is held at Deer Lick Park on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Please contact 770-920-7129 or cgriffin@co.dougals.ga.us for more information.

The Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt at Deer Lick Park was a success for the Douglas County Parks and Recreation Department. The Recreation Department would like to thank all the hunters and parents who came out to participate in this event. We had more than 100 people registered for this event. We would also like to thank the Xi Epsilon Kappa Sorority for volunteering their time to help with prizes and check-in.

If you would like any information about our upcoming events please check out our website at www.douglascountyparks.com or contact 770-920-7129.
