I have to admit, I haven't quite figured out what should go here yet but it's such a great location. It should definitely be something fun that would draw people to downtown.

A small antique mall. Rent for a week or a month. Everyone is letting go and selling things that have been in the family for years. Selling things to pay the electric or water bill or mortgage. Make it one open area, newly painted, nice music and upkeep by the city. Owned by the city.

A small crafter's mall for all of us in the county that make things like kid's clothing, decorations, embroidered items, etc. and have no outlet to sell them.

Easy. The three spots are already there:
1. Burger shop
2. Cupcake shop
3. Weight loss center

An adult eatery. Something that will bring revenue into that area. There are plenty of places for parents to bring their children in Douglasville. Chuckie Cheese as well as all the fast food joints. A nice medium cost restaurant where adults can sit and relax. In good weather they would stroll the surrounding stores and make purchases. Maybe there can be an old fashioned ice cream parlor that would also serve sandwiches for lunch. It would be nice to bring back the glory days of this area by bring back a piece of the past.

Why not change the facade and use it for the same purposes? This was a great service to the immediate area as well as those further out when needed for so many years, especially the laundromat it was a blessing when either washer or dryer went out with no great wait. We do not have enough laundry's in Douglasville, certainly no competition.

I think that it would be a great idea to put a food kitchen in this spot. We don't have one in Douglasville yet. A Kitchen where they fix & feed meals to the homeless & less fortunate.

Sarah that would be a great idea, we have long said that Douglas/Douglasville needed such a facility but who would fund it? We certainly have a need for one!!
No longer are the days that neighbors helped neighbors or the homeless. Maybe your suggestion will spark funding for such a facility.
