View Thursday's Procession Schedule for Fallen Marine
Come out in Douglasville on Thursday to salute the service of Marine Lance Corporal Scott Harper, 21, who died while serving in Afghanistan.
Marines Lance Corporal Harper, accompanied by members of the Marine Corps and his family, will land at Fulton County Airport/Charlie Brown Field Thursday morning, Oct. 20. A Marine Corps Honor Guard will escort Lance Corporal Harper off the plane. A procession will leave the airport at 11:30 a.m. to bring him to Douglas County.
The processional route will be as follows. Times are estimated and the motorcade could be 10 minutes on either side of the stated time based on traffic flow, motorcade speed and other factors.

Processional/Motorcade Arrives at Whitley-Garner at Rosehaven Funeral Home at 8640 Rose Ave., Douglasville
The public is invited and encouraged to salute the service of Harper along the processional route.
Harper will be accompanied by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department, the City of Douglasville Police Department, the Patriot Guard, the American Legion Riders, friends and organizations associated with the family.
Harper’s family will receive friends at Whitley-Garner at Rosehaven Funeral Home on Friday from 5 – 9 p.m. and on Saturday from 1 – 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Ephesus Baptist Church, 8445 Ephesus Church Road in Villa Rica. Interment will follow at the Ephesus Baptist Church Cemetery will full military honors.
