Videos: Sunday Sales on Ballot, Commission Approves 4-1
The Douglas County Board of Commissioners voted 4-1 today to allow two alcohol-related issues on the Nov. 6 ballot for a vote by Douglas County citizens.
As expected, Douglas County Commissioner Ann Jones-Guider was the only dissenting vote in a 4-1 decision to allow Sunday sales and by-the-drink measures on the Nov. 6 ballot. The Commissioners made the vote during their 10 a.m. meeting today.
In the attached videos, each Commissioner gives his or her reasoning for their vote. Also attached are two videos from citizens appealing to the Commissioners, one in favor of placing the inititives on the ballot and one opposed.
